Membership

Congregation B’nai Israel is a diverse, multi generational, open and inclusive Reform Jewish community.We welcome singles and families of many compositions, including interfaith, seniors, and people with disabilities.

Our Temple, founded in 1866 has a proud heritage that includes a significant number of 3rd, 4th, and 5th generation families. Our community also welcomes new families joining us, many with children who attend religious school and participate in our active Youth Group and Junior Youth Group.

Why join the Congregation B’nai Israel family? Our membership participates in worship, lifelong learning opportunities for both adults and children, life cycle events (such as weddings, B’nai Mitzvah, funerals, and baby namings), social action, community outreach, and a variety of social events. We are a caring community that celebrates and mourns together, and provides for each other a rich personal and spiritual life.
